My Business Blogging Strategy

While blogging often refers to maintaining a weblog or online journal where you discuss your thoughts related to a certain topic or subject, there is more to a blog than just using it as an online diary like many people do.

Certainly, you can set up a blog that is specifically used to write your thoughts down on a daily or less frequently basis like many people do. One option for this is to set up a free blog at a site like Blogger which is the site I use.

The first way I use blogging is by setting up separate blogs with Blogger.com. I use my Blogger blog pages to make visitors aware of changes and additions on my main websites. In other words, I use Blogger to refer people to my main websites.

The second way I using blogging is on my main websites. With my SiteSell-built websites, one of the features that is included as part of the package is a blog tool that automatically kicks in every time I make a change or addition to my site.



If I make a change to an existing webpage on my site or if I add a new webpage to the site, a blog entry gets added without me having to do anything. The great part about this feature is that it enables frequent visitors to my site (and even new visitors) to check out my blog to quickly see what changes I've made recently.

Plus, I can choose to add the date to each blog entry if I frequently update my site so that visitors can see what day the site was last updated.

Alternatively, if I don't update the site regularly, I'll simply choose to leave the date out so it doesn't appear to visitors that the site is static and doesn't get changed.

Better still, you can earn money from your blog. You could choose to have advertising appear on your site that you get paid for when someone clicks on them.

Blogging, RSS, And Content Distribution
