How to build more website traffic is a question that any webmaster is interested in answering effectively both in terms of cost and time.

Here is a suggestion to help you cost effectively build more website traffic to your website using a method I've used to get more website traffic to my sites.

Write Articles And Post Them On Popular Article Websites: The main article website I chose to write articles for is EzineArticles.com. You can learn more about my articles at EzineArticles.com by clicking here to view my author page.

In exchange for writing articles of between 250-800 words in length (it was my choice to select these word ranges) I am allowed to include a profile at the end of each article that contains several of my website URLs.

The idea is that when a reader has read my article, they can click on one of more of my URLs in my profile to visit my website(s).

Of course, I choose article topics that are related to my website content to encourage people to check out my website to learn more.

Thus I build traffic for free in exchange for writing short articles that I post on the EzineArticles website.

Better still, other webmasters can reprint my articles on their website for free in exchange for keeping all the content of my articles untouched including the references to my URLs!

What about duplicating content, though? I'm not worried about duplicate content in this case because the articles I write are different from the content on my websites.

I've written over 200 articles of various topics so far and can track the number of people who have visited my websites as a result of them reading my articles.

I've read one estimate that around 3% of the people who read my articles end up clicking through to visit one of my website URLs.

The result for me is an increase of tens of thousands of visitors to my websites with no out of pocket costs to me.
