Before You Can Make Your Own Website, You Need An Idea(s)
Before you can make your own website you need an idea to build your website around. For my first websites, I chose topics that I was familiar with: Find Your Dream Career: This is my first website which I structured around my experience working as a recruiter. Permanent Hair Removal Tips: This was the second website I set up that discusses hair removal options for men and women. I have tried many of the hair removal options myself so I can discuss them in detail and talk about my personal experience with each of them. Recruiter Secrets Revealed: I wrote an ebook to help career-minded individuals called Recruiter Secrets Revealed and I sell it at this website. Again, I used my experience and knowledge as a recruiter to put this site together. Currently, you’re visiting my fourth website www.CarlMuellerOnline.com which talks about my experience with Internet marketing which essentially combines my experiences setting up the first three websites I described above. The point is that in each case, I decided to set up websites with topics that I felt comfortable and confident writing about. Writing can be difficult enough as it is without choosing topics that you’re not very familiar with. In that regard, if you’re having trouble deciding on an idea for your website, my suggestion is to think of things that you know about. We all know something. We all have interests, hobbies, skills and experience that other people will be interested to read about. Making a list of possible topics that you could structure a website around – and would be interested to write about – is a good start to figure out how you can make your own website. When I was first starting out online and was trying to figure out which topic(s) I could structure my first website around, one of my favorite tools was to look at a long list of successful websites that had already been set up with SiteSell on their top-rated websites page. I really found this page useful because it shows you dozens of successful websites from 11 different topics to get your creative juices flowing and to think about possible ideas for your website. If the people who put these successful websites together were able to do it, why can’t you?
What Is YOUR Passion? In other words, what do you know that you can write about and build a website around? The question of course is "how to turn a good idea into a successful online reality?" Remember, setting up an online business is not like setting up an offline one.
