The Internet Sales Letter

A sales letter is typically a website that is structured around a long copy or short copy letter with the goal of selling a product or service.

An example of a sales letter is my Recruiter Secrets Revealed website which describes and promotes my ebook for career-minded individuals, Recruiter Secrets Revealed.

This type of web page can be an effective way to promote your product or service by educating your visitors on the merits of the product and why they need to buy it now.

Top Internet writers (ie. copywriters) often charge thousands of dollars to put a one-page letter together for you because the value of a good letter than be worth its weight in gold.

If you don't have thousands of dollars to spend on a top-notch copywriter's work, you can learn how to build strong sales letters yourself.

While I don’t doubt that a top level copywriter can help you, I get a bit tired of reading many of them who justify their own existence by usually claiming that you need them more than they need you.

I question many of the old-school tactics that many of them tell you that you must utilize on your website, too. Many still claim that using certain words or phrases are virtually guaranteed to increase sales

Most people aren't stupid.

I don’t know about you but I don't suddenly decide to buy something just because I'm told on a website that "there are only 5 left!" or because of other fake tactics that are used to spur people to purchase.

Not everyone who surfs the Net does so with any intention of buying anything no matter how good your sales letter or how valuable your product.

Do you buy everything you see advertised on tv?

And the companies advertising these products often spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on their ads.

Selling on the Internet is a matter of getting a high volume of visitors to your site and trying to get as many of them to purchase as possible (obviously) but understanding that most of them won't buy no matter how good your product.

Your best bet when selling online is to follow tried and true marketing strategies that don't treat your visitors like idiots.

Further, it helps when you learn marketing fundamentals from people who are proven to know what they are talking about and are willing to help you help yourself.

An excellent example of such a person is a gentleman by the name of Yanik Silver who has developed a method for you to build your own sales letters for a fraction of the cost of using a professional copywriter who could charge you thousands of dollars and make you wait weeks or months to complete the work for you.
