If your visitor clicks on any of your sales links and then buys the product, you get paid. Of course, if you’re going to describe each product properly it would help if you actually owned the product in advance. Also, if you’re going to offer pros and cons of products, it doesn’t really make a lot of sense to promote products you don’t really like and expect customers are going to ignore your negative comments and buy the product anyways. Sure, you want to be honest in your assessment of the product but if it isn’t any good, why would you promote it? I’ve actually seen testimonial websites that slag products – and in some cases even rate the product with 1 or 2 stars out of 5 – and then expect people will purchase it! There are plenty of good products sold on the Internet that you can compare without having to choose crappy ones to include on your site which may cause you to lose credibility with your visitors when they wonder why you are mentioning products to them that aren’t very good in your opinion.
